Hexagon's...

I have been Very Inspired to use White lately...my DD Wedding Quilt was in White & now here...I had picked another of HB fabric in Pinks for the surrounding colour or background colour.....but wasn't really sure about it...then after looking here ...& getting lots of Inspiration...I thought hey use White and OMG what a Punch it has given my block....this is the first completed block after unpicking them and starting again....the White really makes the other Fabrics stand out....now I am really Pleased with this and have found a new desire to continue...I call these "Mindless Sewing"..it's the sewing I do when I am trying to watch one of my fav TV shows...I can watch without having to think too much about what I'm doing...lol....it works for me.

..Thanks for stopping by.....Maree

Looking great Maree. I know what you mean about white making everything pop. Thats what I thought after doing that pinwheel quilt, so crisp and fresh.

Hi Maree, I am so happy to have given you some inspiration... (I am sure you had it in you all the time). The hexagon block looks fantastic with the white border around it. It sure highlights the other fabrics. Beautifully hand pieced - a task I have yet to master!

The hexagon block colors remind me of the owls on the side of your blog.

White certainly provides such a crisp contrast and lets your other fabrics have a starring role. Another wonderful quilt in the making. Ann :)

Ooh yes, I love to have some mindless sewing going, at least at the end of the tv watching, you have something to show for it!! Beautiful hexagons, I think I need to make some like these with the white path. xo

White really does "pack a punch" - it tends to make fabrics sing.

I agree, sometimes you just can't go past white to pull a real punch - looks lovely!

I agree...that white just makes the colored hexagons even more stunning!
